In most design projects, much planning takes place before the selection of furniture. Designers to consider the role of space, personalities and lifestyles of the occupants of the residence, the architectural features of the house, lighting, color preferences and color next to the space, both indoors and outdoors, the “assumptions” of space, including the materials used inside and outside the building and of course the budget parameters. The evolution of styles of furniture are stimulated by the following: political or economic change, the results (such as archaeological excavations of Pompeii and the tomb of King Tut), contact with distant places, to see something new, changes in technology and techniques production and creative power of acute talented designers working to meet the needs of his time, function and beauty. Each historical period is influenced by the style and unique characteristics. As a designer informed, you want to be able to recognize and identify the different periods of design style and features of different historical styles.
